Don’t Expect Any Cyberpunk 2077 at The Game Awards 2018

Cyberpunk 2077 will not be appearing at this year’s Game Awards.  The studio’s community manager has clarified their intentions for the event, which are non-existent.

Marcin Momot, the community manager for CD Projekt Red, recently posted a tweet, stating that the company has no plans for the upcoming Game Awards event on December 6.

“We’re looking forward to seeing all the reveals and announcements during this year’s @thegameawards, however we’re not going to be showing anything there ourselves. We’ll share more details about @cyberpunkgame when we’re ready.

Tweet embedded below because why not

People have been waiting a long time for Cyberpunk 2077 to come out. It was initially announced in 2012, I believe. We were given practically no information about the game until the last year or so, where we get new trailers, gameplay videos, and advertising out the whackadoodle. With a number of other studios planning to release some new info at the Game Awards, people speculated toward CDPR’s intentions.

My sympathies to those excited for the upcoming sci-fi RPG, you’ll have to be left in the dar for a while longer. Until then, feel free to guess wildly about what Obsidian Entertainment is planning, or whether or not Alien: Blackout will be revealed.
