A fair bit of things to share today, all of which are exciting in one way or the other. The upcoming South Park game will be harder on black characters, Bethesda supposedly has an unannounced game this year, LA Noire ports are happening, Microsoft is sharing water tech with PUBG, and The Walking Dead Season 1 is free on The Humble Store.
While there wasn’t much happening in terms of newsworthy content, what news there was was certainly more interesting than normal. Project Cars won “Best Game Simulation”, The Cyanide & Happiness Adventure Game Kickstarter went live, and a theism based fighting game released recently.

Trying a new method of news congregation: daily update.
here’s the news for Monday, August 28th.

About a week ago, popular Polygon employee and YouTube personality was accused of sexual harassment to other via Twitter direct messages. Polygon made a statement that the matter was being taken care of internally, and has been silent since. Last night Nick Robinson posted a long form apology on Twitter as an image. In summary, he states that twitter has been a primary communication aspect for a long time in his life, that he did not realize how he had developed a position of power, and how that might have an impact on his behavior or perception by others. You can read the full apology here.
There has not been any word on whether his position as video producer for Polygon will remain or be terminated. The Polygon YouTube has not uploaded any content since the original accusation, though this may soon change.
As I had settled in one Sunday evening, preparing to cooperatively play Minecraft on the Xbox 360 with my girlfriend, We were delayed due to a needed update. To pass the time, we browsed her game selection when something interesting caught my eye. “Doritos Harm’s Way” overlaid an image of a dusty canyon environment with a mad max style truck being shot at by a large mechanical turret. The idea of a Doritos sponsored game excited me: an advergame designed by a corporation to appeal to target markets. I was ready to criticize it to the very core — until I played it.
During the Dota 2 Championships happening this week, Valve announced a new upcoming game, Artifact: The Dota Card Game, based off a conglomeration of characters from Dota.
Fan reception was not good, many Awws and Boos were heard during the reveal. We don’t know much about the game yet, but its Twitter account is now live.
